![]() ![]() I narrowed a list of ten or so free task management apps down to the top five. There are four other excellent contenders vying to manage our precious to-do lists. Personally, I’ve disliked Microsoft since having to use Outlook in 2008 at my first desk job. So, where are we going next, comrades? Microsoft wants us to migrate to their task manager, Microsoft To Do. I’ve managed my to-do list with Wunderlist since 2014. This piece is, shall we say, personal for me. That’s when users stopped being able to update or edit lists or tasks. Has anyone that shares lists and used a lot of the Wunderlist communication / collaboration features found a suitable replacement? Bonus if it integrates with Amazon Echo to add things to a shopping list.Microsoft bought Wunderlist and shut it down on May 6, 2020. Super bare bones and has most of the shortcomings of the ones I listed above. Limit on amount of lists that can be collaborated on, apparently (I read this in a review and consequently didn't even bother downloading it.ģ) Whatever the hell Microsoft's replacement is for WunderlistĪpparently has a much more restricted feature set compared to Wunderlist, making it an even worse choice than the previous two options This was used to ask classification questions and keep the answers with the relevant items. No notification when a comment is made on a task. My SO and I include details a lot, so pretty much a deal breaker This is a massive deal breaker.ĭoesn't really have a comments / additional details section contained within each task like Wunderlist. Here's what I've tried and their fatal flaws:ĭoesn't provide any notifications to list collaborators when when I add items to shared listed, or check them off. Someone please help, I just found out that Wunderlist is being shut down and I've been searching for replacements, but it seems like no good options exist.
